Stan Deal, President of Boeing Commercial Airplanes, announced additional quality inspections. A dedicated team will scrutinize Spirit AeroSystems, the supplier responsible for the plug door implicated in the incident. These inspections will ensure the integrity of Spirit's work before fuselages are transported to Boeing's Washington state production facilities. Beyond door plug assessments, Boeing teams will perform checks at 50 other points in Spirit's production process.
